Edit (7/23/25): So leveling up takes even longer now. The only way to level up is feeding your fish mostly. If you can't summon a specific item for a species then you can't finish some of the challanges. There is NO faster way to level up. At all. You only can level up by feeding fish but that's it and some fish take forever. Sometimes the 'new species' events are ok but usually you can't get the last one because the event ends before you can. It was cute at first, now it's boring.

Love this game just as much as Splash. I enjoy seeing the new species of fish discovered and participating in the different events. It's a simple game that doesn't require a huge amount of my time or attention all the time. Plus, I love aquariums in general, so of course I enjoy this game even more for it. Great support from the developer team when an issue may arise. Issues are a rare occurrence in my experience. Recommend!

Pretty good game. A little bit boring though. Runaway's other games have little "activities" that you can do like chasing clams or spotting little beetles. I'm only on this game for 30 seconds to feed my fish and leave. There also REALLY needs to be a hide release notification toggle. The point of this game is to collect cool fish and frogs to put in my cozy pond but then I can't keep anything in my pond because the release button is constantly on the screen. It's super annoying.

Some minor things like the otter and manatee get in the way of interacting with things from time to time. self paced, not too long to advance... and no player vs player or harassment. I have had 2 or 3 times where I watch a video to speed up the food from the plants and it doesn't come through... but it doesn't bother me enough to want to quit. Very relaxing, especially after dealing with some people harassing in multiplayer games. cute graphics

This game has come a long way since it first started. The events they offer are pretty fun but I have had issues with the eggs disappearing when I close and then reopen the app. If you don't pay to play this game it does take awhile to get anywhere progress wise but it is still an overall good game. I would like to see a future where we are able to personalize our ponds more and see other people's ponds as well, possibly competing with the events would be lots of fun too!

edited: it seems like maybe the issue with the bubble coins not getting paid out like they're supposed to has been mostly resolved, at least for me it appears that way. be that as it may, the amount of bubble coins needed to be able to feed all of my fish in one go around is absolutely insane. even if you get the bubble coins you're supposed to every single time, it's still not enough to feed your fish to progress through at any reasonable rate. the fish are so cute, so this makes me sad ☹️

It'd be more relaxing if it didn't sometimes just not give rewards, or randomly them away. How do I get -1 of the rare item? Why would I spend anything if I don't even know if I can keep it? Also, the minishop is almost impossible to click on. I had to develop a strategy to get it to work, by holding one finger on my phone, then repeatedly pressing the store with another finger.

Cute, happy little collection game you check on every few hours and learn about real wildlife. I like it a lot, but I have a very hard time clicking on Willow (our beaver friend who makes decor) on mobile; it always trys to move the camera around instead of going into her build menu. Didn't get any response from in-game chat help days after asking about this issue.

This a cute little fish collecting game. I really enjoy it. The only note that I have is that I wish there was a way to follow a school of fish without seeing its status and level information. seeing the info is helpful, but I'd like to be able to follow a school of fish without blocking them out or having to constantly move the scene by.

Brianna C

unfortunately my save data got reset during and event and there has been no response from support to help me resolve the issue. I logged out and tried to recover my account but it only shows the reset pond as save data. I love the art and the fact that they use real species of animals but I can't continue playing if my efforts can be spontaneously deleted with no timely solution

Balance Of Judgement

Having trouble opening the beaver exchange and the video snail. There seems to be a hit box issue, I have to click all around them a LOT to open them up. And still getting errors when I try to log in without clearing cache. Otherwise great game! Love that we get other creatures than fish, and hope there will be more diverse creatures in the future. Would really love to see more info about our fish, like where they are native, how long lived, size, and interesting habits! Thanks so much!

super cute game, with tons of cute fish skins and animations! there's a lot of tiny issues though, and one big issue. I can't open the beavers little furniture area, no matter how much I tap?? sometimes I'll get lucky, and tapping on the bubble with the furniture redeeming thing will work, but otherwise I can't open that area? it's also super hard to get fish food, even if you have plants that give you a lot of money and you buy it with the cash they give you to start with. the events fun though

This game is pretty, no overpushing of ads. But after the first few levels, progression slows to a slog. Fish food comes from decor. There are only 13 decor slots & most decor items give 100-150 food. With 30 fish each costing 100 or 200 to feed, you can't even feed half. So rather than swimming around looking cute, most of my fish are just parked in place waiting to eat. I got access to a new decor slot at level 13. the next slot opens at level 43!!! after 3+ weeks daily play I'm at level 14.

It was a great game but all of a sudden it restarted while I was playing and when it reloaded my pond as well as my account was completely gone no trace. very frustrating as I've been playing since release. (edit: not sure what you guys did but almost immediately after ur response the game said it had to update then my original progress was BACK!! so thank you I've updated my review as I am a big fan of the game and all runaway games.

Caitlyn Lockett

Starts strong then shows itself to be a money grab if you want to see any progression. Bubbles to feed fish accumulate incredibly slow, meanwhile the cost to feed increases exponentially-effectively turning the game from fun and relaxing, to just boring from waiting too long to see any real progression. That is, unless you spend real money for more bubbles to do things sooner. A real bummer, considering how fun the game actually can be.

NupeOSkeet

This game is absolutely beautiful, I've been a fan of runaway games for a long while, and the small details and colorful art style of this game is definitely high up on the list. I love how the critters get lighter when exposed to a sunlight source within the pond and how the frogs can rest on the wood above! So much detail and thought was put into this game. I highly recommend it for any casual game fans! Or animal fans, too :)

Alanna Walter

It's nicely made without any hitches, a little educational, but kind of boring. After initial 30 minutes, you'll find yourself opening the game many times a day for about 3 minutes if you're not in the mood to leave it open and occasionally tap the bubbles and feed creatures. It's silly that you don't get rewards for hatching enough of a species for "Thriving" status. Middle of the road here. It's pretty, but lacking substance.

Michelle Collins

good points: no ads, relaxing game. bad points: I have the problem of running out of shells to get new fish with, and the only way it's showing to get more is spending money or waiting long time to drop from other fish. wish there could be some kind of mini game to pass time and help collect shells

Amy Keiter

very fun and relaxing, my only complaint is how the species and times scale up. it starts out with relatively quick reward for your time, then turns into popping on once or twice a day to feed and then be unable to do anything else while waiting for fish to be hungry again. I think it could do with more quick-turnover options later in the game to keep you in it

Jacqueline Thomas

I love this game. I have an idea to make it even better. Maybe there could be a way to trade in common items for a more rare one. Like 200 common crescent scales can be traded for one uncommon one, for example. Right now it feels like it is next to impossible to get the golden scales. Other than that I think the game is great!
